GDPR

Updated April 28, 2018

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. GDPR focuses on the protection of personal data, which is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes a user’s names, addresses, physical or genetic information, IP addresses, location data, etc. GDPR provides a consistent standard of privacy and data protection that is mandatory across the European Union.

At Seeker Health, we are applying the principles GDPR to all the work that we do, regardless of location. We believe that protecting your privacy is essential and ethical.

As part of GDPR, we’d like to provide you with transparent and actionable information about your data and options, by answering these key questions:

1.     What information do we collect?

2.     How do we use the information collected?

3.     How is this information stored and shared?

4.     How can you request to see the information we collected from you?

5.     How can you request to be deleted from our system?

6.     How can a user contact us?

Here are our answers.

1. What Information do we collect?

Seeker Health collects and stores a limited amount of personal data on users. The information we collect is directly obtained from you and only with your consent. You may provide information to us via one of the approved websites we operate to support clinical trial enrollment or other related efforts.

We generally collect this type of information:

  • Your answers to a handful of questions to help us ascertain your eligibility for enrolling into a clinical trial or a related effort such as a registry or database

  • Your name, email, phone number, zip code, and other fields as provided by you

  • Your consent to collect, store and use the information for the intended purpose

We operate on your consent only and no personal information is collected without your consent.

2. How do we use the information collected?

Most of our efforts contain a number of pre-screening questions that you will answer as part of your submission.

If these questions are answered in a manner that meets the entry criteria, meaning you qualify, we will securely share your information with a clinical trial site closest you so that they can contact you to continue the enrollment process.

If these questions are answered in a manner that does not meet the entry criteria, meaning you don’t qualify, we will not share your information with a clinical trial site and you will not be contacted.

Seeker Health does not repurpose or sell your data to any other parties but those directly involved for the intended purpose.

3. How is this information stored and shared?

The information you provide is stored and shared with relevant parties via a secure, encrypted system, the Seeker Portal (“The system"). All data communication between the user’s browser and Seeker Health are encrypted using the HTTPS protocol. The Seeker Portal is hosted in a privacy compliant server. Only authorized users of the portal can log in to view your information. Log in to the system and actions on the system are tracked in an audit log.
